So, you want to make a banana face mask at home?

As a budding minimalist and a personal finance enthusiast, I agree with you on this decision. Seriously, who needs to buy a junkload of products worth thousands of pesos when you can make your own skin care products, like masks, at home?

Since I am now 22 years old, I have started to take care of my skin more. (It's late, I know, but hey, at least I'm starting!) And since I love DIYs because they're cheaper and more natural, I've decided to share my recipe to my friends in the blogosphere who are also interested in having moisturized and glowing skin for less than P20!

How to Make a Banana Face Mask at Home (with Calamansi Juice!)

Bananas are cost-effective. They're also known to hydrate and soften the skin by performing exfoliation. As for calamansi, we're adding them for their skin whitening effect.

Ready?

You will need:
  • 1/2 banana, mashed
  • 2 pcs calamansi

Let's get mashing!

Once you've already prepared your materials either by buying from the market or by asking your grandma, let's start the preparation for this banana face mask:

1. Mash your banana. (That sounded awkward...)

2. Add calamansi juice to mashed your banana. Mix them well together.

3. You're now ready to apply this banana-calamansi mask at your face! You can either use your fingers or your facial brush for application. Let it set for about 20 minutes. Why don't you read self development articles like "Start Getting the Life You Want" to pass the time?

Pardon my no-make-up face.
And there you have it! You've already pampered your face and your mind at the same time - without even spending a thousand pesos.

It feels good, right?

You can even use your savings to sponsor a child from World Vision or give financial assistance to the Philippine Red Cross! :)

Have you made a banana face mask at home before?
